Less than a week until school

Urgh, this time next week it will be the end of the second day back at school. This is not pleasing. We had to go uniform shopping yesterday, and the thought of going into school to see people I knew was worryingly unattractive. I remember specifically last year wanting to get back to school just so that I could speak to people again, and maintain some sort of human contact. But this year, things are a little different, with two of the people I have the most in common / most to talk about with go to college and not school, and everyone's gonna be stressed about applying to university and everything and I'm going to feel as if I should be too, but not.
I'm supposed to have read this book:

I'm not upto chapter 7… I just turned to a random page. I haven't even read past the first page!

Problem number one - I don't even remember the last time I read a book. I've read about 10 books in my entire life, and only 3 or 4 of them were voluntarily. (Actually, I read 1984 because I wanted to. To this day I am still surprised I managed to start and finish it.) Books don't interest me, at all, and my attention span is as short as, oh god this is really bad, a song. There is no way Mrs German teacher can give me this book, and expect me to read it.

Second problem - it's in German. It might have been alright if I read it on the first day of the holidays, when I actually knew some German. In the last six weeks, I've done no German homework, been to Sweden, discovered a boad load of new songs in Swedish and watched too much Swedish TV. I really hate learning German, as maaannyyy people probably already know. Sure, it's nice to be able to tell people you can speak German, and impress them with your amazing subordinate clauses, but other than that… I don't even know. Why am I learning this again?

It wouldn't be so bad if she didn't want 24 questions answered on it! She wants one question answered for each chapter!! Like that's getting done… What's the worst that can happen? She puts me on detention? ooooooohh… (Says me who's only had one detention… and that was in French for failing two tests in a row… I didn't even know that warrented a detention… Joke's on her, I got an A.)

I went for a walk today. It was a bit of a disappointing walk, because the route I was trying to take was blocked by a load of nettles taller than me, and a really muddy hill, which I nearly slipped all the way down. I only got stung once, but once too many, so I had to turn back because I thought one was going to sting my eye…
Plus I also had a dream last night that I got on a bus at the end of a night, intending on going home, but getting off at the last bus stop, and not knowing how to get home at all. It's like in one of those games where you have no idea what to do next. Plus the dream was dark and I was on my own. I tried to climb up a hill, but like in real life (:O) I couldn't really get through, and I was just stood there. Anyway haha… I had to turn back :(

This one was an HDR picture, so it's a little fuzzy because I moved before it had taken the whole picture.
But looking on Google maps, I've found a way to get around the nettles, in a neighbouring field… so I'll go down that one instead, to get to my favourite woodland haha. I haven't been there for years, and I just want to visit again.

Also, big achievement!! I watched 101 Dalmatians in Swedish! The whole movie is on YouTube, so I sat at midnight and just watched it all the way through! Proud to report that I understood! Obviously I didn't know every word, but I'd say 70% of the words, I did know. Of course it helps to know the storyline anyway, but I still think I did a good job.

And I don't want to speak too much about this, I feel a blog post brewing, for when I am a little too tired and irritated…

Please Therese, just let me give him a hug! He's just a kid!

And now, for the Norlie & KKV section.

I know a lot of people won't like them, and I just keep going on and on about them haha. Hip-hop and rap in Swedish? It's not exactly my thing either, but they are super duper cool and I LOVE them. And since it was Rockbjörnen tonight, and they were nominated, they have all these videos on the Aftonbladet website of them, which includes acoustic performances of Där jag hänger min hatt, Tröjan du hatar and När jag går ner… which I think are AMAZING. Obviously not 100% spot on with vocals, but still… acoustic versions!

All you got to do is click play on the videos :)

It's sahw cute!

I have no more news, apart from the fact that I still have ALL of my English coursework to do. Damn.

Congrats to my best friend, who's just given birth to her little girl :) Show everyone who's put you down just how good a job you'll do :)
